The company

Reserve is the trading name of Bitcoin Asset Reserve Ltd, incorporated in England and Wales (Company No. 16686955), based in Altrincham, Cheshire. Collateral custody sits with major, proven FCA-regulated custodians; Reserve never holds client assets on its own balance sheet.

Credit and collateral parameters are owned by Reserve's Risk Committee, which signs off every product's LTV bands, cure windows, and collateral eligibility before it reaches borrowers.

Working towards FCA authorisation

Reserve is pre-launch and not currently authorised or registered by the Financial Conduct Authority. We intend to apply for authorisation when the FCA's cryptoasset application gateway opens (expected September 2026), and we are building the company to the standards we expect to be held to as a regulated entity, ahead of holding the permission itself.

Until authorisation is granted, cryptoassets are not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, and the Financial Ombudsman Service does not apply to our services.
